Meet Abby Hendren: The Visionary Behind UFO Grants and Her Mission to Support Innovators

introduce myself. My name is Abby Hendren, founder of UFO Grants. The dream

of opening a grant consulting firm has been on my heart since 2023. Within the

past six years, I have explored the oddities of state, foundation, and federal

pass-through grants in my professional experiences working in public health,

healthcare, and higher education sectors. I leverage collaboration with

non-profit organizations, municipalities, workforce innovation centers, schools,

and other stakeholders to find, plan, and utilize awarded grant funds for the

greatest good. Whether you are interested in grant prospecting, application

preparation, award management, compliance support, or best practice consulting,

I am available to assist your organization in that journey!

I am currently open to clients located in Illinois or those serving Illinois populations

with 501(c)3 status, municipalities, local health departments, private healthcare

organizations, FQHCs, RHCs, and 4-year higher education institutions. Other

types of organizations may be eligible for my services, but services will be

determined eligible on a case-by-case basis with the understanding that I

hold a full-time position at a two-year community college in Illinois.

To avoid any conflict of interest, if an organization wishes to use

services rendered by UFO Grants LLC that may be competitive to that of my

employer, a referral for alternate grant services will be provided.
